dave + amy // a vintage-inspired wedding at jack's barn in oxford, new jersey

dave + amy were married at the beautiful jack’s barn in oxford, new jersey. jack’s barn is a stunning wedding venue with lovely nooks + crannies for portraits. the barn is filled with vintage treasures, perfectly adding to the rustic romance of any wedding. the couple opted for happy, colorful blooms in mismatched glass to adorn the heirloom tables for their reception. it was so fun to photograph! I can’t wait to return to jack’s barn!

mike + melissa // a rustic romance wedding at interlaken inn, connecticut

Mike + Melissa were wed just this past September at the stunning Interlaken Inn in Connecticut. The Inn is an amazing canvas for a wedding day with a bright, open bridal suite to prep in, the loveliest lakeside ceremony site + sweeping tent to enjoy dinner + dancing in. With the sweetest palette of grey, gold, pink + green, Mike + Melissa’s day playful + romantic in every detail. I especially was taken with Melissa’s bridal look + the floral design…just lovely beyond measure. The best thing, in my humble wedding photographer opinion, is that Mike + Melissa were very intentional about creating + preserving time for portraits. You can see below that there is no shortage of portraits of the couple, both formal + candid. These moments, for me, were effortless, intense, joyful + so, so real. tim + abigail // an industrial prairie wedding at bluestem hall in urbana, illinois

tim + abigail opened bluestem hall in urbana, illinois + their wedding was the very first nuptials to christen the incredible venue. i am not exaggerating when i say that photographing at bluestem hall was a bucket list item i didn’t know i had + i just cannot wait to return. bluestem hall is a glorious union of rustic + industrial set in beautiful prairie lands that offer the most lovely setting for portraits. tim + abigail have incredible style — a bold color palette, delicate vintage china + autumn splendor set the scene for their october wedding. abigail donned a custom made gown + her top knot + swiss dot wedding veil made my heart flutter all day long. and if i wasn’t already a spoiled rotten wedding photographer, we scored a DOUBLE RAINBOW during evening portraits! HUZZAH!

jordan + haley // a new year's eve wedding at the pearl district building in tulsa, oklahoma

it's nearly 2018, which means it is high time to share jordan + haley's crazy awesome new year's eve wedding from last year!!

i met haley at a wedding photography workshop years ago + was so flattered when she asked me to photograph her wedding!  there is something just amazing + perfect about photographing another photographer's wedding...they just get "it" - from working with you on scheduling all the important moments to creating the best details to capture to trusting you completely when they're in front of your camera.  jordan + haley are SO fun + we had such a great time running around tulsa during their portraits.  haley made all my dreams come true + donned a gold bolero from free people over her wedding gown...she even kept the festive motif going with the most adorable kate spade sneakers.  their venue, the pearl district building, was a dramatic canvas that was so perfect for a new year's eve party.  practically gold-bombing the joint, the atmosphere was everything anyone would ever want for a midnight celebration.  i especially loved that the couple opted to include shades of blue, a color i don't get to see very often in wedding design!  i gave jordan + haley major bonus points for including quotes from LOST, Harry Potter + The Secret Life of Walter Mitty in their tablescapes.

scott + tiffany // an edgy, whimsical wedding at the joinery in chicago, illinois

scott + tiffany were married in october at the joinery in chicago, illinois.  i met tiffany a few years ago when she came to one of my wedding photography workshops.  she seriously is one of the coolest + sweetest people i have ever met.  before the wedding day, i received a care package filled with home made cookies (seriously, homegirl makes THE BEST COOKIES EVER!!), a hand-knit head scarf (SHE KNITS!) + some fun beauty treats (she is so kind + thoughtful!).  i was so humbled + honored when she asked me to photographer her wedding day.

the couple's incredible wedding style was out of this world -- i felt like i've been waiting for this wedding my entire career.  i love when a couple embraces who they are + creates a wedding day that is truly their vibe.  tiffany made all my dreams come true in her whimsical, flowing blue skirt + lace topper from chantel lauren.  she was a heartbreaking beautiful bride + so fun to photograph.  watching her + scott together was the sweetest...they are so totally in love + have the best time just hanging out together.  after their adorable first look, we all hopped on a graffiti covered school bus with rock music blaring, + headed to several different locations in chicago for portraits.  the entire day was a blur of happy + rad portraits, an emotional ceremony + the coolest party (with the most delicious tacos for dinner!).  

i'm so excited about scott + tiffany's wedding day + can't wait for you to take a peek! enjoy!

kyle + nicole // an autumn family farm wedding in warwick, new york

kyle + nicole were married at the brady farm, which has been in nicole's family for years.  their day was elegant + rustic, surrounded by mountains covered in the most gorgeous fall colors.  nicole was honestly one of the most joy-filled brides i have ever photographed -- her energy was infectious + made every moment even more perfect than it already was.  kyle + nicole are crazy in love + absolutely beautiful.  i love this wedding day with all my heart!
